The Certificate III in Children’s Services provides a comprehensive training course to meet the needs of the Children’s Services Industry.

Students will be equipped with the skills and expertise for a challenging career with young children aged from 0-6 years. 

This course is suitable for persons who wish to develop high level, professional job specific skills, sound industry knowledge (both locally and internationally), and the attitudes necessary to work competently in Children’s Services. 

Students suited to Children’s Services should have patience, enjoy working with children, be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects.

Career opportunities include: Entry Level roles in Occasional Care, After School Care, Long Day Care, Kindergarten, Nanny, Family Day Care.

Course Details:

The course is composed of both classroom, simulation learning, plus workbased training (now paid).

Duration:

26 weeks - 2 terms of 11 weeks (20 hours per week). This includes 4 blocks of 2 weeks work based training (40 hours per week). This does not include 1 block of 2 weeks of holidays (2 weeks).

Costs:

Application fee: $150 which is non-refundable

Course Fees: $6,500

This includes all learning guides, workbooks and two uniform tops
